About Apatride Network
Apatride Network is run by stateless people for stateless people, giving voice to our views and providing ground-up expertise on statelessness while striving for equal human rights in the European Union. We raise awareness, dispel misconceptions, and empower stateless people as active participants. Our work includes guest lectures, publications, advocacy, legal assistance, lawyer training, and impact projects addressing barriers to nationality.
The EU estimates at least 399,283 people are stateless or of undetermined nationality, mostly native Europeans deprived of nationality due to discrimination or bureaucratic failures. This figure likely underrepresents the true scale, as poor data, state obstruction, and lack of representation keep statelessness invisible.
/ Our Mission and Vision
Empowering the Stateless and Advancing Equal Rights for All
We are dedicated to empowering stateless people, advocating for equal rights, and building a future where everyone belongs. Our mission is to raise awareness, drive change, and ensure every person’s right to nationality is recognized and protected.
